Statement of the Coordinating Committee in
Defense of the Left Front

Help to defend the votes in the elections with
the Coordinating Committee in Defense of the Left Front
The Coordinating
Committee in Defense of the Left Front takes part of this electoral campaign
calling to vote Left Front (FIT) lists throughout the country against Cristina,
the right and the FAP. We have performed acts, talks and festivals that have
brought together hundreds of comrades in Chaco, Buenos Aires City, Buenos
Aires, Córdoba and Rosario. We have distributed tens of thousands of leaflets
and pasted posters in these five constituencies with that approach. Thanks to
this political struggle, we have conquered that Izquierda Socialista [Socialist
Left, TN] and PTS committed to add the Coordinating Committee to electoral
inspection on August 11th in Buenos Aires City, Buenos Aires, Córdoba and
Rosario to defend the votes of the Left Front against capitalists' parties
mafias, what reinforces the call to PO to do the same in Chaco. In this final
stretch of the campaign before the proscriptive elections, the Coordinating
Committee we will redouble efforts to achieve that workers vote Left Front and
to organize lots of comrades in order to
defend each FIT’s vote, raising the need to fight to repeal the proscriptive
elections.
IN HIS LIFE CRISTINA HAS
ALREADY CHOSE: WITH CHEVRON, MILANI, JAIME, POLLUTING MEGA MINING COMPANIES,
THE ANTI-TERRORISM LAW, THE “X” PROJECT, YANKEE MILITARY BASES IN 5 PROVINCES,
AGAINST NATIVE PEOPLES, HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS AND FAMILIES OF ONCE
MASSACRE
The kirchnerist campaign
slogan is "in life you have to choose". The campaign itself made
clear what Cristina chose. Far has been of satisfying popular demands of the
first national strike against Kirchnerist government last November 20th and
even she didn’t answer to massive Cacerolazos called by the right and the FAP
solving popular claims to neutralize several pro-imperialist variants. On the
contrary, she chose Chevron, Milani and Jaime, against the native peoples,
human rights organizations and relatives of Once Massacre. The same right-wing
character has the Insaurralde’s campaign [kirchenrist candidate, TN], which
mimicking Massa, vindicate to have developed its own police in Lomas de Zamora:
so had Filmus in 2011 in Buenos Aires City, stating that he wanted to be head
of the Metropolitan [Buenos Aires City police, TN], what concluded in a
failure.
In its exhaustion,
Kirchnerism assumes the agenda of the right. Facing the big ongoing capitalist
bankruptcy, which was expressed in the largest mobilization of human history in
Egypt, the popular revolts in Brazil, Turkey and Chile, and demonstrations in
Greece against the IMF package of adjustments ‘necessary’ to disburse a new
loan of $ 2,300 million, the kirchnerists answered to the crisis trying to make
it paid by the workers.
CANDIDATES OF LEFT FRONT
ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO SUBMITTED BILLS DURING THE CAMPAIGN TO ABOLISH THE TAX ON
SALARY AND ESTABLISH THE 82% MOBILE [in pensions, TN]
On the campaign Cristina
also announced the payment to workers of the wage tax which was stolen from the
bonus in instalments till the end of the year. This is a concession to national
truckers strike and demonstration to Plaza de Mayo in defense of the bonus.
However, the government will try to use this measure to keep the wage tax effect.
Therefore, this victory must be useful to redouble efforts to get left deputies
in Congress to fight for the abolition of wage tax. In that sense, the
Coordinating Committee salute the bills submitted during the election campaign
by Pitrola and Altamira, FIT’s national legislative candidates in Buenos Aires
City and Province of Buenos Aires, which end this tax and set the 82% mobile
for retirees.
MASSA, MACRI, DE LA SOTA
AND BINNER: WHERE THEY GOVERN, CAPITALIST ARE NOT FORCED TO RETURN THE WAGE TAX
TO WORKERS
From the Coordinating
Committee in Defense of the Left Front, we want to denounce Massa, De la Sota,
De Narvaez and Binner because they are not an alternative to the government of
Cristina. Where they rule, Massa, Macri, De la Sota and Binner do not force the
capitalists to restore the wage tax to the workers. Greater still is the
imposture when notice that both Massa and Moyano present themselves as
defenders of the unity of the labor movement. Nothing is more false: the mayor
of Pilar, member of Massa’s Frente Renovador [Renewal Front, TN] repressed
Kromberg´s struggle with the complicity of plastic union bureaucracy that first
frightened and then just disappeared from the struggle. In the same vein, the
oil union bureaucracy (related with Moyano) was present in the act of Massa but
not in the demonstrations for the absolution of Las Heras oil workers who can
be condemn due to their struggle against wage tax and job insecurity. Moyano
supports De la Sota, who outlawed fair UTA Córdoba strike against TAMSE
privatization. Massa was holder in the ANSES [pension fund, TN] during the
first Kirchnerist government. The leader of the Frente Renovador is responsible
for the brutal looting perpetrated in the ANSES to pay the foreign debt at the
expense of the suffering and hunger of our retirees. Massa, De la Sota and De
Narvaez do not defend the unity of the labor movement. The only way to defend
the unity of workers is developing a working and leftist opposition against
capitalist parties.
IN CHACO, 700 PIQUETEROS [word given to employed and
unemployed workers that fight doing pickets, TN] DEFEND WORKERS UNITY FIGHTING
FOR THE VOTE FOR LEFT FRONT AND AGAINST CAPITANICH [Chaco governor, TN] AND
UCR-LIBRES DEL SUR-FAP [Libres del Sur: Free of the South,
TN]
The Coordinating
Committee in Defense of the Left Front, unlike Massa and Moyano, militates the
electoral campaign defending the unity of workers. This is the task that are
developing 700 piqueteros in Chaco
calling to vote for the Left Front, represented by Partido Obrero in the
province, to defend workers' unity against Capitanich and UCR-Libres del
Sur-FAP. This huge campaign in Chaco for the vote to PO and FIT aims to set up
the Left Front in 2015 in the province based on the PO reunification with its piquetera base. As Partido Obrero
leadership expelled and then refused to build the FIT with the 700 piqueteros of MCC and December 20th, the
Coordinating Committee in Defense of Left Front supports the claim of the 700 piqueteros to PO asking to set up with
them the FIT in the province. This is our fight to transform Left Front in
order to include all fighters in it and become a factor of mass political
organization of the exploited.
CARRIÓ, PINO SOLANAS AND
LIBRES DEL SUR PROMOTE A FRONT OF ALL PRO-IMPERIALIST OPPOSITION
This outline is opposed
to the policy of Carrio, Pino Solanas and Libres del Sur, which promote a front
of all the pro-imperialist opposition. Speaking to the media, Carrio openly
stated that her agreement with Pino Solanas and the front "UNEN"
[“join”, TN] in Buenos Aires City has the aim to force the UCR and the
dissident PJ [not kirchnerist, TN] to face 2015 national elections in a front.
She even confessed his sympathy to Macri’s party [rightwing party, TN]. Beside her
was Pino, who said nothing. In the same vein is located Libres Del Sur, which
has joined the internal dispute of the UCR in Chaco integrating the list of the
repressive ex-governor Angel Rozas, and that once stated in favor of a united
front of all pro-imperialist opposition, including Macri's PRO, for the council
of the judiciary. Workers must reject these right-wing fronts that can only end
in more devaluation and national plunder.
CAMINO POPULAR [Popular
Path, TN], PODEMOS, PROYECTO SUR AND NUEVA IZQUIERDA [New Left, TN] ARE NOT
LEFT
It is in this context
that different lists present themselves as part of the left when they are not.
This is the case of Proyecto Sur (in Chaco), Camino Popular (in Buenos Aires
City), PODEMOS (in Province of Buenos Aires) and Nueva Izquierda (in Buenos
Aires City). In Proyecto Sur in Chaco, as in Camino Popular and PODEMOS we find
the “Unidad Popular” of Claudio Lozano and Victor De Gennaro, which remains
part of the FAP, leaded by the caprilist [Capriles, leader of the Venezuelan
right-wing opposition, TN] soya supporter and pro-devaluation Binner.
Meanwhile, in Nueva Izquierda and PODEMOS is the Partido Social (leaded by
Fabiana Rios, the governor of Tierra del Fuego) which has just repressed
teachers' strike and that gave gas production of the province to the
imperialist polluters Total and Apache. Lozano’s "Unidad Popular" has
made a front with the party of "Momo" Venegas [leader of the
bureaucracy of the agricultural workers union, TN] in Jujuy. Workers should not
be confused: none of these lists is a popular and leftist opposition to
Cristina Kirchner.
JOIN THE COORDINATING
COMMITTEE IN DEFENSE OF THE LEFT FRONT TO MAKE VOTE TO FIT PART OF THE STRUGGLE
FOR AN ALTERNATIVE TO KIRCHNERIST EXHAUSTION
As Coordinating Committee
we have invited the Left Front and the three parties of it to be part of the
acts and activities we have made, as part of our struggle to include all
fighters in the FIT. None of the three parties participated. It is the same
method that nominations have closed: without calling a conference, behind all
the fighters, allowing the extortions of PTS. The FIT was not part of the
truckers nationwide strike and demonstration to Plaza de Mayo in defense of the
bonus and Izquierda Socialista militant Rubén Sobrero turned his back to train
drivers strike, what clearly demonstrates a strong tendency to adapt to
Kirchner. The same adaptation occurs when Altamira states that he expects a
strong fraction of Kirchner voters to vote for FIT: he is not saying that workers
should break with Kirhcner but to move to the FIT maintaining their kirchnerist character.
Altamira is the same who submitted the law projects against the wage tax and
the 82% mobile! It's the same Left Front, too, of Dellecarbonara, the delegate
of the metro and FIT senator candidate who is being attacked by Macri to pass
an anti-labor offensive, and also Rubén Sobrero, who is denouncing the
government for its attack to train drivers. All this shows the FIT itself
inconsistent character whose progressive features and the possibility of
becoming a working class and left opposition can only be developed on the basis
of a strong political struggle in defense of the Left Front.
The conclusion from this
is that more and more fighters have to join the Coordinating Committee in
Defense of the FIT. The FIT is an achievement that we have to defend and
develop against the dissolution is going through, because a worker and left
opposition is necessary in the political situation under the exhaustion of
Kirchner and against the right and the FAP. Join the Coordinating Committee to
make the vote to Left Front a part of the political struggle for a left exit to
the pre-revolutionary situation that crosses our country.
