NO TO CURFEW IN TURKISH KURDISTAN!

NO TO JUDICIAL PERSECUTION FROM ERDOGAN’S AKP AGAINST DERYA KOCA AND OTHER 6 LEFT-WING STUDENTS!

The Piquetero Revolutionary Tendency (TPR, Tendencia Piquetera Revolucionaria) is going to develop a rally outside the Turkish Embassy in Argentina. Juan Marino, TPR’s leader, stated that “right now, our comrade Lionel Zivals is in Turkey taking part in meetings and demonstrations against the curfew in Turkish Kurdistan and the judicial persecution from Erdogan’s AKP against Derya Koca, one of SDH’s leaders, and other 6 left-wing students. Lionel has participated in debates with the comrades from the SDH, Movement for Permanent Revolution, in Ankara and Istambul. He has also met with Ankara’s Alawite Federation, which is developing a hunger strike against the massacre Erdogan is carrying out over the Kurdish people. Is in solidarity with all these comrades that we will develop this rally in Argentina”.

Marino added that “according to human rights associations in Turkey, the curfew in Diyarbakir started 42 days ago, and in Silopi and Cizre it has already lasted 30 days. At least 79 civilians have been killed, among them many women and senior citizens. The offensive started after the Kurdish people declared the self-government over their territories. The operations that Erdogan’s government is developing include more than 10.000 soldiers and policemen, with tanks and cannonry, which have killed 22 people in their own houses and 4 in demonstrations. The Alawite Federation started a hunger strike knowing that first they will come for the Kurdish people, and later they will come for all the ethnic and religious minorities. From Argentina, we demand the end of the curfew. Today, we say loud and clear: long live the brotherhood among the peoples all over the world!”.

TPR’s leader finished his statements saying that “we also want to demand the end of judicial persecution against Derya Koca and other 6 left-wing students. The AKP government intends to expel them from ODTU, the university, and imprison them saying they are terrorists. The reality is that they are left-wing fighters and students, and that the only terrorist here is Erdogan, who is massacring Kurdish people. We call all the left-wing and students organizations to pronounce against this judicial persecution and defend the right to fight against AKP’s government”.
