14N: ALL SUPPORT TO THE EUROPEAN GENERAL STRIKE

NOT TO THE ADJUSTMENTS OF THE GOVERNMENTS NEITHER THE MANUEVERS OF BUREAUCRACY

The Tendencia Piquetera Revolucionaria will participate in a demonstration in support to the strike in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Cyprus and Malta. Not to the “strike gym”, let`s go for a plan of struggle until defeat the governments of the budget cuts

THE 14N IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO MOBILIZE AGAINST THE ADJUSTMENTS OF THE TROIKA AND ITS GOVERNMENTS, AND IN ORDER TO POSE OUR OWN SLOGANS

Regarding the continental strike of the 14N, called by the European Confederation of Unions, Juan Marino, leader of the TPR, stated: “the Tendencia Piquetera Revolucionaria supports the strike and the demonstrations on the 14N. It’s the first time that an international strike is called in Europe, so it’s a great opportunity to mobilize against the adjustments of the troika and its governments and in order to pose our own slogans. The masses in Portugal have just imposed a defeat to the government of Passos Coelho who had to move backwards his rise in wages taxes and drop in capital taxes. In Portugal, Spain, Cyprus and Malta will be 24hs’ general strikes. In Greece, where the general strike was advanced to the 6th and 7th in order to fight against the budget approval, it will be also a strike and demonstration day,as in Italy. In a lot of countries, there will be demonstrations in support. Fighters have to take the initiative forward and take place posing our own slogans: Capitalists should pay for the crisis! For a workers´ government!”

THE TRADE UNION’S BUREAUCRACY OF EUROPE USES THE GENERAL STRIKE FOR THEIR ´STRIKE GYM´ AND NOT AS A TOOL TO DEFEAT THE BUDGET CUTS OF THE ANTI-WORKERS GOVERNMENTS

“The Greece´s experience is essential for fighters in Europe and all around the world. The general strike has to serve us in order to develop a revolutionary alternative, otherwise the fascists will grow. Since the elections, the fascists of Golden Dawn have progressed in electoral support and in attacks against the immigrants. In fact, recent polls show that support to Golden Down boost to 12%, when in the last elections they got 7%, despite of the more than 25 general strikes that have been in Greece. Samaras, the prime minister, has imposed a new austerity plan included in the 2013 budget, joined to a privatization plan, which wasn´t defeated by the strikes of 6 and 7 of November of GSEE and ADEDY. This is because the strikes called by the European bureaucracies are like a ´gym´ and are not part of a real plan of struggle” pointed out the leader of the TPR. “Meanwhile, in Portugal, after the massive demonstrations of the 15^th of September defeated of the government’s adjustment policy, the bureaucracy of CGTP waited 2 months to call for the strike and transformed the general strike into a way to deviate popular anger rather than a tool to overthrow the government”, pointed out Marino.

THE BUREAUCRACY OF UGT AND CCOO BETRAYED THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE BUDGET CUTS AND PROPOSE A REFERENDUM TO DEVIATE THE POPULAR MOBILIZATION. ON THE 14N, IN THE SPANISH STATE, LET’S GO TO THE STREETS TO CLAIM FOR A PLAN OF STRUGGLE TO FINISH THE BUDGETS CUTS AND TO KICK OUT RAJOY! THROW THEM ALL OUT! FOR A WORKERS´GOVERNMENT!

Regarding the situation in Spain, Juan Marino explained that “the Spanish trade unions have betrayed the fight against the budget cuts, where the money for Health was dropped downa 22,6%, the unemployed benefits in 2000 million euros, Education 14,4%, Culture 17,2%, the payment of the debt rose 25% of the total spending, TAV rose to 21% and the investment in the Autonomous Communities fell 16,10%. The 1^st of October, one week before the approval of the budget, there was a meeting of the “Social Summit”, a meeting of unions and political and social organizations around CCOO and UGT that decided to call for a demonstration while the budget was discussed and called for a campaign to ask the government a referendum on the economic policy pursued. We have to draw two conclusions from this. The first one is that CCOO and UGT betrayed the fight against the adjustment, because they didn´t call for the general strike against budget cuts. The second one, is that the referendum is an initiative of the anti-struggle bureaucracy, in the line of betray and integration to the state. They do not even do it, but they ask it the government! That’s a total capitulation. Furthermore, the bureaucracy has agreed minimum services against it ´general´ nature and allow bosses to avoid the payment of the strike day, being accomplices of the capitalist pressure to make the strike fail. The bureaucracy doesn´t fight against the adjustment because it doesn´t want to confront the government. In other words, as they don´t want to develop the workers´ struggle and a labor political alternative, they end capitulating towards the capitalists cuts. The perspective is to develop a plan of struggle and call to build up an united workers front that fights against the adjustment until defeat it. To defeat the adjustment, we have to overthrow the government. That’s why this 14N we all have to go to the streets claiming for  a plan of struggle for Out with Rajoy! Throw them all out! For a workers´ government!”

WE CALL ALL THE LEFT AND THE CLASSIST FIGHTERS IN ARGENTINA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DEMONSTRATION IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE 14N CALLED BY THE CTA OF MICHELLI AND THE CGT OF MOYANO, POSING: CAPITALISTS SHOULD PAY THE CRISIS AND FOR A WORKERS´ GOVERNMENT, FOR THE BREAKOUT OF THE UR, FOR THE SOCIALIST UNITED STATES OF EUROPE. IN ARGENTINA LETS FIGHT FOR A PLAN OF STRUGGLE FOR ALL THE WORKERS´ CLAIMS AND FOR A LEFT WAY OUT TO THE NATIONAL CRISIS

“This Wednesday 14th of November, in Buenos Aires, when in Europe the first continental general strike had started, the CTA of Micheli and also de CGT of Moyano will develop a demonstration in solidarity. Both unions feel solidarity with the strike called by the trade union bureaucracy in Europe, which is allowing the budget cuts. At the same time, the bureaucracy in Europe is not developing the workers struggle against the government, but building populist-front political formations, because they want to capitalize the popular anger electorally and hold it in the framework of the bourgeois state. In Argentina, Moyano and Micheli do the same. They are looking forward electoral fronts with parts of the FAP and the soybean right, and calling for the 20N without developing a plan of struggle to defeat the adjustment that Cristina is applying in Argentina, and so using the strike to negotiate the building of those fronts. That’s why they allow the anti-workers law of ART of Cristina and the PRO without calling even a strike against it. Even worse, Yasky (linked to CC.OO) didn´t move a finger to support 14N, neither Barrionuevo´s nor Calo´s CGTs did nothing. From the TPR, we call the left and the classists fighters to participate in the meeting to support the 14N, with a defined politic line: the pose that capitalists should pay the crisis, for a workers´ government, for the breakout of the euro and the EU, to finish the payment of the debt, for the Socialists United States of Europe. That is the best way to prepare ourselves for an independent column in the demonstration of the 20N in Argentina, the first general strike against a kirchnerista government. In this way, from the TPR we call to strike and go to Plaza de Mayo and build a plan of struggle making assemblies and strike measures in the working places to claim against the ARTs, for the 82% in retirement payments, for the reopening of collective agreements, against the budget cuts and fare rise, for the familiar subsidies for all, against the anti-educational laws and reforms, for the legalization of the abortion, against the payment of the debt and against the anti-terrorist law, as part of the fight to set up a left way out against Cristina, the right and the FAP” Marino, the leader of the TPR, ended.
