"December 20th: Against Moyano and Micheli, down with Cristina's Social Pact" - Juan Marino (TPR, Argentina)
INTRODUCTION TO THE ARTICLE:
Who sign these articles are members of Tendencia Piquetera Revolucionaria / Piquetero Revolutionary Tendency (TPR), a revolutionary organization from Argentina. We are supporters of Frente de Izquierda y de los Trabajadores / Workers´ and Left Front (FIT) here in our country. As an expelled tendency of Partido Obrero / Workers Party (PO), we defend its revolutionary tradition and the building up of CRFI (Coordinating Committee for the Re-foundation of the Fourth International). We write in this blog encouraged by OKDE´s comrades, proposal we thank and salute, as an important exchange and discussion between left organizations who oppose Syriza and KKE.
The following article has been issued within the political struggle, as TPR from Argentina, we developed 11 years after the revolutionary situation of December 2001 and one month after the first general strike against a kirchnerist government. The political situation in Argentina is very important for every greek revolutionary worker because the Argentinian CDS (Credit Default Swap) became the second higher in the whole world, just before Greece. So, our debt negotiations are linked and argentinian and greek revolutionaries must fight together in order not to pay the debt and make the capitalists pay the crisis they have generated, not the workers and oppressed countries by imperialism.
We developed that struggle defending the Frente de Izquierda y los Trabajadores (FIT), against the popular front built up by the trade union bureaucracy and dissolvent trends inside FIT itself. This popular front of the bureaucracy goes from the rightwing parties to the FAP (Frente Amplio Progresista / Wide Progressive Front). We believe that this debate is interesting for anticapitalist and revolutionary comrades in Greece and all around the world because we face similar problems: the priority now is to regroup the revolutionary workers parties against the popular front, not to focus mainly in the combat against the raise of fascists group as if they were the main issue as USFI says. As the entire historical experience verifies, the fascists can only advance after the popular front has prepared the political conditions first. To defeat fascism, first we must build up a workers front against the popular front and separate the workers parties from the popular front policies and break with the bourgeoisie.
Because of USFI policy, the left that claims itself to be revolutionary was dissolved in wide anticapitalists formations and today we are watching the dissolution of those anticapitalists formations. Under the rise of the Popular Front in Europe in general and in Greece in particular, they are in crisis. The TPR has developed a political struggle supporting the anticapitalists fronts that want to resist the Popular Front: that is the case of our national and international campaign calling to vote for Antarsya and not for Syriza. It is not a contradiction of our policy against the anticapitalist turn (refuse to fight for a workers government and proletarian dictatorship), it´s a contradiction of class struggle. If anticapitalism were able to resist and overcome Popular Front, anticapitalism wouldn´t be the denial of the struggle for workers´ power but the path to establish a revolutionary leadership. On the contrary, NPA´s rupture under the pressure of Front de Gauche and the Antarsya adaptation to Syriza, put this chance at risk. The same can be said about hybrid organizations between USFI and ELP like Bloco de Esquerda and Die Linke.
And that`s why we think the discussion that's being developed inside the Unified Secretariat is important, against the leadership who decided to boycott the resolution of its last congress about promoting anticapitalists parties and fronts and started to support “Syriza model” without any congress discussion. This puts OKDE-Spartakus comrades and those who support theirs position in front of two options: a peaceful coexistence or a fractional struggle against USFI leadership.
We, the TPR from Argentina, don`t believe that anticapitalism is a way out. But despite of that, we believe that it is impossible to reform Unified Secretariat, and, in contrast, OKDE-Spartakus comrades and all who oppose Syriza and Popular Front have a great chance: change the anticapitalist centrism in a turning point in order to draw revolutionary conclusions and breaking with centrism and reformism to join the CRFI (Coordinating Committee for the Re-foundation of the Forth International).
In his recent visit to Argentina, Kostas Isychos, international officer of Syriza said that “we know exactly where we have to go; and despite of that we don`t know if we will get there or not, we are sure that we will do our best to get there. If we have to change the crew, we won’t doubt”. Antarsya, the anticapitalist opposition to the Popular Front of Syriza (or FIT, facing the different versions of the trade unions bureaucracy and the FAP) has to adopt a revolutionary method more than ever, the one used by Lenin and Trotsky to challenge the reformists: the Worker United Front to dispute the policy that workers need in order to fight for its own government facing the capitalist bankruptcy. That is the violent destruction of the capitalist state, the rupture of EU, the arming of the working class and the Socialists United States of Europe, i.e. the fight for proletarian dictatorship.
The Workers United Front between EEK, Antarsya, KKE and Syriza that we propose is not to benefit the bureaucratic apparatuses within working class (KKE), petit-bourgeois parliamentary organizations (Syriza), or anticapitalist centrism (Antarysa), but to strength the working class against the paralysis imposed by front-populist parties. On the contrary, it involves moving the working class and creating the potential conditions to defeat the adjustment today. In that sense, we think that the first greek party that must call for this workers front is the EEK, the only revolutionary party that stands for workers government.
On that basis, it would be possible to pose the building of double power organizations in order to give a socialist solution to the sharp pre-revolutionary situation that is being developed in front of us. If we agree with this characterization, setting up soviets from trade-unions and every mass-organization starts to be the touchstone of the tactic of the revolutionary left in Greece.
The TPR salutes all OKDE-Spartakus comrades and every revolutionary worker in Greece.
Argentina is Greece. Against the popular front, let’s break with bourgeoisie and regroup workers forces. For workers government and the break of European Union. For the European Socialist United States.
