[TPR’s statement to CRFIs’ European Conference] DIP and CRFI must fight for overthrow Erdogan

TPR’s statement to CRFIs’ European Conference

Not to the anti-capitalist turn in Turkish revolution:
DIP and CRFI must fight for overthrow Erdogan
An “open conference” can’t resolve the CRFIs’ political crisis

The CRFI is mainly composed by the Argentine PO, the Greek EEK, the Italian PCL, the Finnish MTL, the Venezuelan OO, the Uruguayan PT and the Turkish DIP. On its strategy what had always been central was to oppose to all organizations which said that after URSS dissolution and Berlin Wallfall, the struggle for power wasn’t any moreposed. The CRFI was the only one which defended the validity of proletarian dictatorship. It wasn’t a religious, ultra-leftist or dogmatic approach but the only revolutionary one because CRFI’s method was based on the real class struggle development and its revolutionary perspectives. It slogan is: “Capitalist must pay the crisis. Workers must take the government”. That means that capitalist bankruptcy objectively poses the task of destroy capitalist state throw the proletarian dictatorship. That’s the key issue for a Marxist tendency.  The bankruptcy was only predicted by CRFI. Itwas not casual but the verification of the present historical period was the same that the October revolution opened in 1917. In fact, the CRFI was founded in Buenos Aires in 2004. That means that the CRFI is the Argentinazo living conclusion.

However its successful forecast, in this decisive moment, the CRFI is paralyzed. This can be seen on multiple facts. The easiest example is that the International Worker, the CRFI’s newspaper, wasn’t printed for half a decade (2007-2013). The reason of this organizational crisis is, as always, mainly political. That’s the reason why PO called tovote for Syriza meanwhile EEK voted Antarsya in the elections of 2012 in Greece. That’s the reason why CRFI hasn’t said any word about the foundation of the Workers Party in Bolivia (a labour party based on trade-unions against Evo Morales’ government) meanwhile PO opposed to join the Workers Party and tried an unprincipledalliance with Peter Taeffe’s CWI against the TPR and AMR-Revolutionary Marxist Group (the CRFI’s sympathizerBolivian section). Finally, the Arab Spring has arrived to Turkey - another symptom of the world extension of Argentinazo. But the DiP is still saying “this is a revolt, not a revolution”. That means that revolution is knocking the door but the revolutionary vanguard is not recognizing it. The masses are fighting for “Down with Erdogan” and the DIP is trying to use a “most accurate tactic” because “the workers are not ready to take the power yet”. That’s not CRFI’s fundational method and program. Without any doubt, DiP and CRFI must fight for overthrow Erdogan!

On this European Conference, which is supposed to be openly, they denied our entry on behalf of the “Organizer Commission”.Also, the CRFI International Secretariat hasn’t answered to our open letter “The anti-capitalist bankruptcy under the rise of the Popular Front”.  (http://tpr-internet.blogspot.com.ar/2012/07/open-letter-from-tpr-to-pos-xxi.html) This is no casual: we are the TendenciaPiqueteraRevolucionaria (TPR) from Argentina, organization founded after our expulsion from PO on June 2009. They reject TPR because they don’t want to discuss these key issues. They reject TPR because they agree or don’t want to discuss openly against the anti-capitalist turn.

“DOWN WITH ERDOGAN!” : TURKISH MASSES HAS POSED POWER ISSUE IN THE CENTER OF ITS STRUGGLE

Masses, who started by defending Taksim Square from attempts of privatization of the government, now has as slogan “Taksim would be Tahir” and “Erdogan must renounce”, to honor the Egyptian revolution. Even the “ColectivoFeministaSocialista” describes the facts very clear: “In Ankara people goes to the Parliament and in the other towns they go to AKP headquarters (the ruling party)… AKP government is questioned. It is the first time that something like this happened in Turkey with this government. Even yesterday at night, it looks like a sort of “Occupy” movement, but now, it is a massive popular demonstration which poses against the government to ask for its resignation” (1/6, www.avanti4.be).Getting the government out would give to masses confidence on its strength and it would reinforce those who struggle in the streets, as the DIP says. The TPR, against any speculative method, poses to declare in favor of what masses are already doing and not to turn its back on them.

THE TURKISH REVOLUTION VERIFIES THAT PO’S ANTI-CAPITALIST TURN HAD ALREADY TOOK THE CRFI: THIS IS AN OPEN CONFERRENCE THAT CALLS FOR THE OVERTHROWN OF ALL CAPITALIST GOVERMENTS IN EUROPE… BUT NOT IN TURKEY

The public appeal of CRFI calls to get out Merkel, Letta, Rajoy and Coelho but no to kick Erdogan out – one of the most evident places in the world where the revolutionaries must fight to overthrown its own goverment. DIP empiricaly recognize a mayor political crisis and that’s why DiP calls for demission of “Muammar the quimic”. In particular, it’s starting to show up differences between other ministers and AKP members against Erdogan but DIP still oposses to raise slogans to use this political contradictions. From the TPR we refuse to discuss with the masses with a right-viewpoint because of some uncertain“tactic arguments”.  If DIP thinks that the slogan “Down with Erdogan!” is the slogan of an AKP different sector or other bourgeois group then the DIP must say it loud and clear. Otherwise, to use the organizational or political weakness of Turkish workers as an excuse to refuse the revolutionary tasks of the workers mobilization can only lead to political ruin. We, members of TPR, do prefer to be wrong with the workers struggle that being right against it.We, as revolutionaries, must try to resolve the problems through the own struggle. If the strike has already started, the only revolutionary task is to make our best effort in order to win. Let’s be clear: if we finally kick Muammar out, it would be a step forward for the movement. We support that slogan. But in Turkey, without any doubt, the struggle for kickingErdogan out has already started. It doesn’t matters what we think is the best. The masses won’t ask us or wait for us. The problem is if we are in favor or against the slogan

“Down with Erdogan!”. We cannot refuse this issue.

SungurSavran, the Turkish DIP leader states “it’s not yet a revolution” and “(the people) are not organized, nor can they yet become organized so as to set up an alternative government that represents their aspirations and interests. This is in not a struggle for power” (4/6, www.redmed.org). But that’s not the central: the key issue it’s to show the path to our revolutionary goals. This is no new for CRFI: the same problem has been faced before by PCL in Italy, by EEK in Grecce and now the DIP should do the same: fight to kick out the capitalist government with the mass struggle.Maybe the proletarian dictatorship it’s not the next step but to fight a “left goverment” (Popular Front) which would take power in name of the masses but it all depends in how deep goes the movement and how powerful is the revolutionary agitation to show to the masses, through its own experiences, who are they allies and who arethey foes. We reject the anti-capitalist idea that “power is not the problem but minimum demands”. It is false that the masses struggle for workers government and socialism is the future and automatic development of the class struggle for minimum or tactic demands. We must do as PO in 2001/2002: kick out the government and ministers, use power slogans and build the united front for a workers’ government.

The transitional program never was an excuse to follow the political lack of conscience of the masses but a program to call the parties and mass organizations who speak in favor of workers and poor peasantsto break with bourgeois and fight for its own government.Every transitional of minimum demands that are still defended by workers must be looked in this perspective. We call the DIP and CRFI to make a call to all organizations to standup firmly with workers insurgency: Down withErdogan! Let’s make the capitalists pay for the crisis! For workers government!
