IF THERE IS A POWER CUT, WE BLOCK THE STREETS!!

A popular revolt against blackouts: more than 21 neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and its suburbs with pickets
IF THERE IS A POWER CUT,
WE BLOCK THE STREETS!!
- Companies and governments must pay compensation to the victims
- City Council must approves FIT’s bill declaring electrical emergency
- Nationalization without compensation under workers' control of Edenor and Edesur
A popular revolt against blackouts has sparked. The pickets multiply in Capital Federal, the metropolitan area of the Province of Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Rosario. At least 21 districts of the metropolitan area were shaken by roadblocks claiming the restoration of the electric service. We, the Revolutionary Tendency Piquetera fully support this struggle. As all workers have in mind since piquetero movement and Argentinazo, this country will be fixed with pickets, and so we have to answer all together to the governments and power companies that if there is a power cut, we block the streets!
The governments of Macri and Cristina are responsible and accomplice of the privatized companies of electricity. We demand the City Council to approve the “electrical emergency” bill proposed by FIT, against PRO, Frente para la Victoria and UNEN boycott.
In Buenos Aires, the local deputy of the Partido Obrero and Frente de Izquierda, Marcelo Ramal, has submitted a bill to declare “electrical emergency” and establish a contingency plan to resolve the situation, forming gangs of labourers to make all necessary arrangements in the electricity network, making available generators that are needed to ensure the light, and funding this plan with taxes on Cristobal López and other casino’s owners. This initiative has the support of four other legislators. In turn, we call Christian Castillo depute of PTS and Frente de Izquierda  in Buenos Aires Province, to emulate the example of Marcelo Ramal and submit a similar bill.
We are on assemblies and in the roadblocks. Let’s enroll all victims up. Let's fight for the nationalization without compensation and under workers and popular control of the electrical companies. With this policy, the TPR is part of the roadblocks and calls to go to the enterprises, the Ministry of Planning and centers of political power (Buenos Aires City Council and Plaza de Mayo).
